Identification

A refrigerator truck containing the naked bodies of four women is discovered on the border of Finland. Each of the victims has a matching tattoo of a house on their neck. Their identities remain unknown. Three years later, Valeria Mazyane, a recent convert to Islam living in Moscow within a Kyrgyz immigrant community, is arrested by the police, who suspect her of murdering her husband’s brother. It is later revealed that Valeria is not an orphan, as previously believed, and her past is as enigmatic as the circumstances of the man's death. Beneath her wedding hijab, she also bears the same house-shaped tattoo.
