InSecurity

InSecurity is a Canadian action comedy television series that follows a team of spycatchers working at the fictional Canadian National Intelligence and Security Agency. Although set in Ottawa, the show was primarily filmed in Regina. The first season, consisting of 13 episodes, premiered on January 4, 2011. A second season of 10 episodes followed, but the series was cancelled by CBC on April 19, 2012, as a result of budget cuts outlined in the 2012 Canadian federal budget. One of the producers described the show as "the 24 of Canada," while a writer characterized it as "24 without Jack Bauer; CSI minus the science; and James Bond—if James Bond were Mr. Bean." The original pilot centered on the monotony of electronic eavesdropping, but the creators decided the concept was too "niche." A second pilot was developed with a more 24-style approach.
