Invisible Heroes
*Invisible Heroes* recounts the story of young Finnish diplomats in Chile during the 1973 military coup. Finnish diplomats Tapani Brotherus and Ilkka Jaamala, along with Tapani’s wife Lysa Brotherus, assisted over 2000 left-wing Chileans in escaping persecution by the military junta. Their actions were carried out without official authorization, while Swedish ambassador Harald Edelstam emerged as the most visible advocate for human rights, supported by Sweden’s Prime Minister, Olof Palme.
