Yuji Itadori is a high school student with exceptional physical strength, living an otherwise normal life. One day, in an attempt to save a classmate attacked by curses, he consumes the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, thereby taking on the curse into his own soul. As a result, Itadori shares his body with Sukuna. Under the guidance of the powerful sorcerer Satoru Gojo, Itadori is enrolled at Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an institution dedicated to fighting curses. This marks the beginning of Itadori's journey as a boy who becomes a curse in order to exorcise one, a path from which he can never return.

The King of Curses from the Heian era, whose consciousness survives in twenty severed fingers. He is bound as a passenger inside Yuji's body but can wrest control in moments of leverage. Sadistic and supremely powerful, he operates according to his own obscure agenda — never allied with anyone.

The Hidden Inventory arc (Season 2) depicts his radicalization after witnessing repeated cruelty against non-sorcerers, culminating in his massacre of a village and murder of his own parents. He specifically targets Yuji, viewing their antagonism as philosophically meaningful. He kills Junpei and Nanami, and critically wounds Nobara, before being absorbed by Kenjaku at the end of Season 2.

A powerhouse third-year student from Kyoto Jujutsu High who becomes Yuji's closest ally and self-declared best friend. His Boogie Woogie technique allows him to swap the positions of anything he claps near. Outwardly absurd in personality, he is both a superb fighter and a genuine mentor to Yuji in combat.

A special-grade sorcerer and Gojo's former student who possesses an enormous reservoir of cursed energy and the ability to copy others' techniques. He is ordered by Jujutsu High's elders to execute Yuji, which he carries out in a technical sense — killing Yuji and immediately reviving him. He serves as an active combatant in the Culling Game, tackling the Sendai Colony alone in Season 3.
