Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple

Kenichi meets the new transfer student Miu after colliding with her while rushing to class. At the karate club, he is challenged to a match by Daimonji, with the loser facing expulsion from the club. After witnessing Miu effortlessly defeat a group of thugs, Kenichi takes her advice and goes to the Ryōzanpaku dojo to begin martial arts training.

Kenichi starts his training at the Ryōzanpaku dojo under Akisame, focusing on improving his strength and endurance. Miu secretly teaches him a stepping technique to help him in an upcoming match against Daimonji. Although Kenichi wins the challenge, he resigns from the karate club after being accused of using an improper throw in the match.

Following Kenichi's victory over Daimonji, Tsukuba, the karate club's top member, becomes wary of his abilities. Meanwhile, Miu joins the girls' gymnastics club and quickly gains attention for her impressive skills. After being caught and defeated by Tsukuba, Kenichi is trained by Akisame in martial arts to improve.

After being defeated by Tsukuba despite his efforts, Kenichi loses motivation until Akisame-sensei begins training him in martial arts. Under the guidance of four martial arts masters, including Sakaki-sensei who teaches him a key weakness of Sports Karate users, Kenichi grows stronger and defeats Tsukuba. However, his victory may bring unforeseen consequences.

Kenichi's recent victory over Tsukuba draws the attention of Ragnarok, the most powerful gang in the prefecture, forcing him to focus on training for an inevitable confrontation. Meanwhile, his teachers suggest he spend time with Miu on a date, though their reasons appear to be more strategic than personal.

Kenichi spends the weekend training at the Ryouzanpaku dojo in preparation for his upcoming matches, prompting his younger sister to visit and see firsthand the rigorous conditions he is enduring.

Kenichi spends time with his gardening club friend Izumi before beginning more intense training. During his training session with Miu, he quickly encounters the Ragnarok, where he faces off against Taichi Koga, a skilled kicker.

Kenichi faces increasing aggression, culminating in an attacker producing a knife, which causes him to freeze in fear. Miu intervenes to rescue him, prompting Shigure-sensei, an expert in weapons, to begin training Kenichi in the fundamentals of weapon use.

Takeda Ikki, a member of the Ragnorak gang, continues his search for Kenichi without success and takes some of Kenichi's friends hostage in an attempt to draw him out. The episode focuses on whether Kenichi's Muay Thai training under Apachai has prepared him for this confrontation.

Kenichi gains the advantage in his fierce battle against Takeda, but his compassionate nature might put him at risk. He also reflects on the factors that led the once-promising boxer to turn to a life of delinquency.
