Klovn

Klovn is a Danish sitcom that first aired on the Danish TV channel TV2 Zulu. The series follows the lives of the main characters Frank and Casper, using comedy derived from mundane everyday situations, social awkwardness, uncomfortable silences, and general faux pas. The show is often compared to the American sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm by Larry David, both in tone and in its handheld, pseudo-realistic shooting style. Some have mistakenly linked its theme to that of Curb Your Enthusiasm, though it is actually a direct reference to Jacques Tati’s Mr. Hulot films. The poster for the first film in the Tati series appears in Casper and Frank’s offices throughout the series. Klovn originally aired six seasons on TV2 Zulu from 2005 to 2009, and was later renewed for an additional three seasons, which aired from 2018 to 2022.
