Jeanne Deber, known as "La Mante," the notorious serial killer who terrorized France over 20 years ago, is compelled by the police to emerge from isolation to help track down her copycat. She agrees to cooperate on the condition that she communicate with only one person: Damien Carrot, her son. Damien became a police officer due to his mother's crimes and has refused all contact with her since her arrest.
