Yeesa Cheung, born on a leap day, considers her birthday to fall between 28 February and 1 March in non-leap years. During a birthday celebration in 2017, she is unexpectedly transported to 29 February 2020 in Sapporo. There, she meets two strangers, Ryan Ma and Yu Ka-chung, and discovers her future self has died in a traffic accident. When she returns to 2017, only one second has passed, but the three must now collaborate to avoid their shared fate.
