Leopold the Cat

Leopold the Cat is a Soviet/Russian animated series featuring the pacifistic and intelligent cat Leopold, who always wears a bow tie, even while swimming. He is constantly challenged by two mischievous mice, Grey and White. The series was produced by T/O Ekran between 1975 and 1987, with a total runtime of 87 minutes. By 1987, 11 episodes had been produced, and in 1995, most of them were released on DVD. The series was directed by Anatoly Reznikov, with the screenplay written by Arkady Hayt. Boris Savelyev composed the score, and cinematography was handled by Ernst Gaman, Igor Shkamarda, and Vladimir Milovanov. Nelli Kudrina was responsible for the sound. Leopold's catchphrase is "Let's live in friendship, guys." The mice's catchphrases are "Come out, Leopold!" and "Come out, you foul coward!"
