Living, Dying, Father, etc.
Tokiko's mother passed away 20 years ago, and her father, Tetsuya, is now in his 70s. Tetsuya is described as having a free spirit and a charming personality. Tokiko is in her mid-40s and remains unmarried. She is known for her strong-willed nature. In the past, Tokiko and Tetsuya had a strained relationship that became so difficult they nearly stopped being father and daughter. However, they now occasionally meet, going out to eat and engaging in conversations. Motivated to write an essay about her father, Tokiko reconnects with Tetsuya to gather material. Through these meetings, she listens to his stories, but the memories shared are not all positive.
