Detective Suzunosuke Shikahama is currently suspended from duty following a professional misstep. He forms an unlikely team with Haruhi Mabuchi from the Administration Bureau, Sesuna Tsumiki from the Community Safety Bureau, and Ruka Kotori from Accounting. Coming from different departments and each dealing with their own personal issues, the four collaborate despite not being traditional upholders of justice. They lack ambition for fame or success, driven instead by a desire to uncover the truth.
