Lying Heart

Mariela Salvatierra is an orphan who was only 11 years old when her grandfather, Manuel, died at the hands of Demián Ferrer. Left alone, she was taken in by Leonardo Del Río and, with his care, was forced to leave the country. Fifteen years later, Mariela and Leonardo have returned to confront Demián Ferrer, a powerful and unscrupulous businessman who shows no loyalty even to his own family. He neglects his youngest son, Santiago, and manipulates and deceives his oldest son, Alonso. This behavior also affects Mariela, as Alonso is unable to fully distance himself from his father, leading to a complex relationship marked by both love and hatred. Matters are further complicated when Renata, an attractive and dishonest young woman, moves into the Ferrer household and becomes obsessed with Alonso. She takes every opportunity to drive a wedge between him and Mariela, while also attempting to bring Mariela closer to another man who is in love with her.
