Saverio Lamanna, a journalist who became a press secretary for a prominent government official, is dismissed after a professional misstep. Struggling with both personal and career setbacks, Saverio leaves Rome and returns to Màkari, his hometown in Sicily. There, he rekindles a long-dormant passion for writing. Motivated by his natural curiosity, he begins to investigate local mysteries, teaming up with his quirky, carefree friend Peppe Piccionello and the driven architecture student Suleima to form an unconventional trio.
