Making Out
Making Out is a British television series that aired on the BBC from 1989 to 1991. Created by Franc Roddam and written by Debbie Horsfield, the series blends comedy and drama, focusing on the lives of women working on the factory floor at New Lyne Electronics in Manchester. It explores both their personal lives and broader issues such as recession, redundancy, and retrenchment as the factory faces various crises and takeovers. The music for the series was composed by New Order, with the main theme being an adaptation of the song "Vanishing Point." A specific mix of this song, known as the Making Out Mix, was created for the show.
