Mastram

The series follows Rajaram, a reluctant pornographic writer and small-town bank clerk who aspires to be a litterateur and is inspired by the anonymous author of popular pulp fiction and sex stories in Hindi. His aspirations are supported only by his wife, Renu. He quits his job to become a full-time writer but struggles to find a publisher for his book. One publisher agrees to publish his work only if he adds sensational or masala elements to his otherwise dull story. He eventually achieves success, but all the credit is given to Mastram, not to Rajaram. Mastram was a significant part of adulterous content in the 1980s. At that time, young people did not have the same access to sexual content online as they do today through websites accessible via mobile phones and laptops. Many people are familiar with the 2014 feature film, which became well known for its steamy scenes and songs like "ACHKO – MACHKO," performed by Honey Singh. Now, it will be interesting to see what the web series offers that is different.
