Baek Dong Joo is a newly hired funeral director who possesses the unusual ability—or burden—to briefly bring the recently deceased back to life and speak with them. If she fails to fulfill their final wishes, she is plagued by a string of misfortunes and accidents. Her journey takes an unexpected turn when she encounters a little boy who initially frightened her upon coming back to life. Kim Tae Hee works as a freelance errand runner for his uncle Vincent, who owns the new service company “A Dime A Job,” which specializes in handling odd but legal tasks. Kim’s path crosses with Baek Dong Joo when he is hired by her boyfriend to break up with her on his behalf. Their lives become increasingly entangled as their respective jobs bring them into situations involving the final wishes of the dead, gradually uncovering painful truths from their pasts.
