Nathan begins a relationship with a fan despite his bandmates' concerns, leading him to investigate her mysterious past by attending Klokikon, the intense Dethklok fan convention. Meanwhile, the rest of the band becomes involved in smoking culture after Murderface appears on the cover of a prominent magazine.

Dethklok faces public backlash and accusations of racism, prompting them to establish an Urban Youth Dethcenter in an effort to address the controversy. Meanwhile, Toki, feeling left out, creates a club focused on promoting equality and love, but excludes Murderface due to his appearance.

As Dethklok prepares to celebrate the release of their new album with vacation and antics, frontman Nathan becomes increasingly uneasy about something being off with the record. Meanwhile, Skwisgaar and Toki vow to get back at Murderface for his series of humiliating prank calls.

Dethklok travels to Tomahawk, Wisconsin to host a Dethfair in an attempt to revive the local economy they previously devastated. Meanwhile, Pickles tries to mend his relationship with his critical mother by leaving his life as a musician to pursue a career in real estate.

Toki, fed up with constant criticism from his bandmate Skwisgaar, publishes a candid book and seizes the role of lead guitarist for Dethklok, raising questions about his ability to handle the increased pressure. Meanwhile, Nathan acquires a defibrillator, which becomes a new, unsettling addition to the band's equipment.

Dethklok faces unexpected challenges when a new female producer takes control, sending the band on a forced retreat to a foreign country. The trip quickly deteriorates into a chaotic and dangerous ordeal as the band members are misidentified and taken captive.

Toki attends Rockaroonie Fantasy Camp in hopes of making friends but finds himself isolated and bullied by other campers, turning to former Dethklok guitarist Magnus Hammersmith for support. Meanwhile, Skwisgaar and Murderface take advantage of Toki's absence by indulging in candy and horror movies at Mordhaus.

Murderface travels to Mexico for low-cost plastic surgery after winning the Most Brutal Looking Musician Award, while the rest of Dethklok struggle with the physical and emotional effects of aging.

Dethklok attempts to record underwater in their new submersible studio, the Dethsub, but the absence of women and the physical strain of isolation begin to take a toll on the band. As tensions rise, Pickles and Nathan develop a rivalry over their female producer, leading to increased friction and a breakdown in their usual behavior.

During a pivotal dinner for Dethklok, tensions rise over album credit disputes, social media tag disagreements, and a romantic conflict. The band's CFO struggles to maintain control while record executives weigh whether to overlook the group's past missteps.

As Dethklok prepares for their final performance, the band members begin planning their lives after the group. Pickles launches an extreme winery venture, Nathan and Skwisgaar seek a new musical direction, and Toki assists Murderface in his political campaign. At the same time, Chancellor Bitterman's rival, Selatcia, sees an opportunity to take action against Dethklok.

Dethklok learns of the ancient secret behind the Metalocalypse just as Nathan is forced to confront his emotions by delivering a eulogy and making a difficult personal decision.
