Mummies Alive!

Mummies Alive! is an American animated series produced by DIC Entertainment. It aired for one season in 1997. In ancient Egypt, an evil sorcerer named Scarab kills Prince Rapses, the pharaoh's son, in an attempt to gain immortality. Scarab is entombed alive for his crime and, after being revived in the modern world, begins searching for Rapses' reincarnation, a boy named Presley Carnovan who lives in San Francisco. His goal is to retrieve Rapses' spirit to achieve immortality. Rapses' bodyguards—Ja-Kal, Rath, Armon, and Nefer-Tina—along with Rapses' cat, Kahti, awaken from the dead to protect Presley from Scarab. They use the power of the sun god Ra to transform into powerful guardians. Each mummy is aligned with the power of an Egyptian deity: Ja-Kal with the falcon, Rath with the snake, Armon with the ram, and Nefer-Tina with the cat. They can summon magical armor and abilities to combat superhuman villains. However, once their strength is depleted, they must rest in their sarcophagi to recover. To activate their powers, the mummies shout "With the Strength of Ra!" to initiate their transformation. They also possess the ability to make terrifying faces, often used to intimidate or scare away curious onlookers.
