Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse

In 1973, an alien species known as BETA (Beings of Extra Terrestrial origin which is Adversary of the human race) invaded Earth. Over the next 30 years, the BETA conquered much of the Eurasian continent, significantly reducing the world's population by billions. In response to their unique behavior, a new type of mobile mechanical humanoid weapon was developed, known as the Tactical Surface Fighter (TSF). In 2001, elite pilots from around the world began gathering at a United Nations base in Alaska named Yukon to participate in the Prominence Project. This project was a joint effort between Russia and the United States focused on the research and development of the next generation of TSFs. The pilots' responsibilities included testing the prototypes, which at times involved pitting them against each other.
