My Father's Murderers

The action series begins when the main character, a young police inspector Aleksandar Jakovljevic, despite his problematic behavior, is given an important case—the murder of the daughter of a prominent man whose company is constructing the largest residential-commercial complex in the region. As the investigation unfolds, Aleksandar is drawn deeper into the case, ignoring his personal problems and exploring every aspect of the victim's life, unaware of the danger he is in, as someone is determined to cover up the killing. Aleksandar is also tormented by the unresolved murder of his father, Mileta, who was also a police inspector. As he uncovers possible links between the two cases, solving the young girl's murder becomes a personal mission. Along the way, Aleksandar is unsure who to trust—his boss and his late father's best friend, police chief Marjanovic, his colleagues, or the two women in his life: Mary, the public prosecutor he is involved with, and Jelena, a young scientist he is emotionally drawn to. As he faces increasing risks and desperately seeks the truth, he will discover how painful the journey can truly be.
