My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex

High school is often seen as a fresh start, especially after a difficult middle school relationship. However, this expectation is complicated when an ex-partner ends up attending the same school and becomes a stepsibling. What was intended as a place to avoid seeing them again has instead become a source of distress, as they appear frequently—at home, in school, and even in the same classes. The situation is further complicated by their claim to being the older sibling, a detail that adds to the tension. Despite this, there is a determination to maintain a position of authority within the new family dynamic, as the older brother in the blended family. While the two may have once believed in their love, they have since come to understand that their relationship was not meant to last. As a result, they now put on a united sibling front for the sake of their parents, even though the past has left a rift that cannot be easily repaired.
