Zhang Guang Zheng is a shy, unambitious man who passively accepts life as it comes. His perspective begins to shift when he falls for flight attendant Zhang You En. To get closer to her, he joins the group of dancing women led by her mother, Liu Meili, at a public square. Inspired by their energy and zest for life, he starts to embrace change. Around the same time, his strict hotel manager launches an employee development program. With support from friends, Zhang Guang Zheng works hard to pass the assessments and gain opportunities for further education. As he strives to close the gap between himself and Zhang You En, he also influences those around him, including the reserved Zhang You En, the hesitant Wang Niulang, and Chen Jing Dian, who had given up on his postgraduate entrance exam out of fear of failure.
