Synopsis
In a burning car that has crashed into a power pole, it is possible to escape without getting electrocuted if the power is quickly shut off by utility companies or if the car's metal frame is not directly in contact with live wires. As for a pedestrian facing an oncoming car, it is generally safer to stay still rather than jump, as jumping increases the risk of injury from the impact or from landing.
