Noah's Island was an animated children's television series created by the team behind The Animals of Farthing Wood and commissioned by the European Broadcasting Union. Directed by Philippe Leclerc and Alan Simpson, and written by Elphin Lloyd-Jones and John M. Mills, the series consisted of 39 episodes, each 28 minutes in length. While not as successful as Farthing Wood, it gained a moderate following, especially among younger viewers in the United Kingdom, where it was regularly broadcast on Saturday mornings. Based on the biblical story of Noah's Ark, the show was noted for its character development, creative storytelling, and its presentation of ecological themes in an engaging manner for children.
