Set in South Korea during the turbulent 1980s and 1990s, the story portrays the intense lives, revenge, and conflicts of young people striving to attain power and wealth in an era marked by flawed social values. Lee Doo Hak is a young man born in a small city in Jeolla Province, who grows up with an innocent nature and a sharp mind. However, he is inevitably drawn into a whirlpool of events, placing him at the center of conflict. After becoming involved with a real estate fraud group, he transforms into a “political gangster” and dedicates his life to avenging his father’s unjust death.
