After a century-long conflict between the Empire and the Nebulis Sovereignty, Iska, a prisoner who once freed a witch, is offered his freedom in exchange for assassinating a formidable astral mage known as the Ice Calamity Witch.

Iska and Alice form an unexpected connection after a chance meeting, despite being on opposite sides of the conflict. Their growing bond reveals surprising common ground, complicating their roles in the war.

Iska is tasked with capturing the Ice Calamity Witch, a mission that could bring him closer to achieving his goal of a peace treaty. When he reunites with Alice, their plans are disrupted by an unexpected threat.

A century ago, a surge of astral energy created a vortex that granted some individuals powerful abilities. Today, a new vortex has appeared, prompting a competitive struggle between the Empire and the Nebulis Sovereignty to control its power.

Unit N07 reaches the vortex but discovers the Sovereignty was already there. When Mismis is captured, Iska confronts Kissing, a purebred, in an effort to rescue her before the Empire launches an assault on the Sovereignty's base.

Iska and Mismis survive the vortex's eruption, though the team suffers significant losses. Alice travels to Ein once more in search of Iska, and the two are eventually reunited, only for their progress to be threatened by Rin's critical error.

Alice kidnaps Iska and, fearing the consequences if the act is discovered, sends Rin to the Prison Sector to assess their options. At the same time, Unit N07 launches a mission to infiltrate the Sovereignty and rescue Iska.

The Transcendent Demon Salinger, imprisoned for 30 years in Ollelugan Prison Tower, escapes with the assistance of Risya. Possessing a rare astral spirit, he poses a significant threat to astral mages. Alice and Rin take on the challenge of stopping him.

Iska arrives just in time to confront Salinger, a formidable opponent who commands multiple astral spirits and possesses the rare ability to merge opposing elements, enhancing his astral art. The episode explores whether Iska can rise to the challenge and overcome Salinger's powerful techniques.

Unit N07 is granted an unexpected 60-day leave and chooses to travel to a tropical resort, using the trip as a cover to strategize about Mismis' astral crest, though events unfold in an unforeseen direction.

Sisbell approaches Iska at the hotel seeking his assistance, mirroring the offer her sister Alice had previously made. Before their conversation can progress, Sisbell becomes the target of an attack from within her own ranks.

The Empire deploys its advanced weapon, Object, to target Sisbell and track Mismis' astral energy. Iska and his team confront the upgraded Object in an effort to protect Sisbell and prevent the exposure of Mismis' hidden secret.

Iska and his team, joined by Alice, thwart a conspiracy between the Empire and the Sovereignty to protect Sisbell. Afterward, they travel to Alsamira for a vacation, but Sisbell has yet to return to the palace and recruits Unit N07 to accompany her, offering them an irresistible incentive. Meanwhile, Alice suspects that Sisbell's new bodyguard may be Iska.

Iska and Alice unexpectedly reunite at Riesbaden station, where Alice discovers he is now serving as her sister Sisbell's bodyguard. At the same time, a significant crisis unfolds in the central province.

Unit N07 goes on high alert as the suspect behind an assassination attempt may target Sisbell next, who can host an astral spirit capable of reenacting the past. Forced to take refuge in a hotel while waiting to meet Mirabella, the team is rocked by a nearby explosion. As Sisbell attempts to reenact the event, she is attacked by someone matching a shadow from her vision.

Alice returns to the central province and informs her mother about Sisbell's location. Soon after, Sisbell arrives in the province as well, only to experience an unexpected encounter.

Iska and his team are invited to the Erz palace, a vacation home of the House of Lou, by Elletear. Sisbell brings Iska along to check for surveillance devices and becomes concerned when he is assigned to search Alice's bedroom. At the same time, Alice rushes to the palace to prevent Sisbell from uncovering a secret. As the three princesses converge, Iska finds himself caught in a difficult situation.

Alice returns to the Queen's palace in response to the news of an attack, only to face another assault from an unidentified enemy.

Iska faces off against Talisman, a formidable warrior known as "the Vicious Tyrant" who wields invisible wave-based attacks that challenge even Iska's agility. Meanwhile, Jhin and his group attempt to move Sisbell to safety but are pursued by the persistent Midnight Sun Witch, Grugell. At the same time, tensions escalate as the Saint Disciples prepare for a major confrontation with the purebreds.

Despite appearing defeated by Mei, Kissing rises again, as the battle rages on between Lord Mask, Risya, Growley, and Nameless, all evenly matched. As the conflict shifts between locations, Talisman announces he has completed his objective and prepares to depart, but Iska's desire for resolution is interrupted by the arrival of a powerful and ominous astral force.

Alice's animosity toward the Empire intensifies after a recent assault, especially when Iska, in pursuit of Vichyssoise, confronts her. Their dynamic shifts from friendly rivalry to open hostility as Alice vows to fight Iska, now seeing him as a threat to the Sovereignty. Meanwhile, Salinger the sorcerer observes their clash, reflecting on his own shared path with the two.

The House of Hydra continues to execute its plans with assassins active throughout the city. Iska and his team are taken to a safe house by members of the House of Lou, who pledge to help rescue Sisbell. Meanwhile, Mirabella awakens as Alice deals with the consequences of recent events as acting queen, and she reveals the existence of another hidden mastermind beyond the House of Hydra.

Iska devises a plan to infiltrate a Hydra base in an effort to rescue Sisbell.

Iska sends Miska and the others to safety and confronts Mizerhyby alone as soldiers empowered by Mizerhyby’s astral power, "Glory," turn their attention to Iska. Meanwhile, Salinger arrives in "Snow the Sun," prompting Vichyssoise to attempt an interception. Amid the chaos, the question remains whether Iska and his unit can successfully rescue Sisbell.
