A school is meant to be a safe place for children, but it has become plagued with problems that even the most dedicated teachers eventually struggle to overcome. Kohei Kaji (Atsushi Ito), a young and passionate teacher who has just begun his career at a junior high school, is thrust into chaos and desperation when one of his students dies on school grounds. Tamako Tsumiki (Miho Kanno), a cool and accomplished lawyer, appears to have a secret connection to the deceased girl. As Kaji and Tsumiki investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, they uncover disturbing truths that reveal how easily someone can fall into despair. The story explores a controversial theme, prompting questions about whether individuals are capable of effecting real change in the world.
