John Beckers is given one final opportunity by his wife, Marjan, and their two children to regain control of his life. After completing a stay in rehab, he begins a new job at the freight company owned by his father-in-law. The port of Antwerp presents a completely new world for the former television star. It is a challenging environment with its own set of rules and traditions. As John struggles with his past demons and new temptations, he becomes involved in the dangerous yet profitable world of cocaine on the docks. While he initially came to the port to rebuild his life, he soon begins to exploit it in increasingly extreme ways.
