Damian, a 38-year-old overseas Taiwanese, divorced his wife and returned to Taiwan to open his restaurant, Verso. While at Verso, he meets Jerry. Their relationship deepens, and Damian expresses a desire to start a family, while Jerry is hesitant to take on parental responsibilities at such an early stage. Four years later, through surrogacy, they become gay parents to a four-year-old boy. Jerry remains closeted from his parents and has transitioned to full-time parenting, despite ongoing pressure from his family to marry a woman. Damian is increasingly occupied with running Verso, while their son, Kai, is preparing to start preschool.
