A young girl transforms into the powerful Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon and teams up with other Sailor Guardians to protect Earth and find the legendary Silver Crystal.
*Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal* is a Japanese anime series based on the shōjo manga *Sailor Moon* by Naoko Takeuchi. Produced by Toei Animation and directed by Munehisa Sakai and Chiaki Kon, the series serves as a reboot and more faithful adaptation of the original manga, omitting much of the material from the 1990s anime. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the original series, it premiered on Niconico on July 5, 2014, and concluded on July 18, 2015. Set in 2010s Tokyo, the story follows Usagi Tsukino, a young girl who gains the power to transform into the titular Sailor Moon. She is joined by other Sailor Guardians in their quest to find Princess Serenity and the powerful Silver Crystal.
