Pride and Prejudice

The Bennet family faces social and financial challenges due to their lack of dowries and the impending inheritance of their estate by a distant male relative. When wealthy bachelor Charles Bingley moves to the area and becomes interested in the eldest Bennet daughter, Jane, his friend Fitzwilliam Darcy is also introduced to the family. Elizabeth Bennet, Jane's witty and independent sister, forms a negative impression of Darcy, believing him to be proud and aloof.

The arrival of the Bennets' obsequious cousin, Mr. Collins, disrupts the household's routine and heightens tensions. Meanwhile, Elizabeth's growing friendship with the charming but unreliable George Wickham deepens her resentment toward Fitzwilliam Darcy.

Bingley's abrupt return to London with his family leaves Jane questioning his feelings for her. Elizabeth uncovers the reason behind their separation and is presented with an unexpected proposal.

Darcy confronts Elizabeth's criticisms, and they later meet at his estate, Pemberley, where Elizabeth uncovers a surprising truth about him that alters her perception.

Elizabeth meets Georgiana Darcy, and soon after, the Bennet family learns that Lydia has run off with Wickham. Darcy takes it upon himself to resolve the situation secretly, without informing Elizabeth or the Bennets.

Mrs Bennet is overjoyed at finally seeing one of her daughters married. Elizabeth gains a new understanding of Wickham's character upon meeting him again after his elopement. The return of Bingley to Netherfield, accompanied by Darcy, stirs up excitement in the local community.
