Quatermass II
In the serial, Professor Bernard Quatermass of the British Experimental Rocket Group is tasked with investigating a series of unusual meteorite showers. His inquiries reveal a conspiracy involving alien infiltration within the upper echelons of the British government. As some of Quatermass's closest colleagues become compromised by the alien presence, he is compelled to deploy his own experimental rocket prototype—previously responsible for a nuclear disaster at an Australian testing site—to thwart the aliens' plan to subjugate humanity.
