Recovery of an MMO Junkie

Morioka Moriko, a 30-year-old who left her job to become a NEET, finds new purpose in an online MMORPG by creating a male avatar named Hayashi. In the game, she befriends an experienced and gentle player named Lily and others, leading to a rewarding virtual life where she embraces the title of "elite NEET.

Moriko enjoys spending time with her friends, including Lily, in the online game, but she feels guilty after lying to them about her real-life circumstances. In the real world, she unexpectedly meets an attractive man with blond hair and green eyes.

With the support of her guild, Moriko is finally at ease and ready to enjoy her online activities. However, her peace is quickly disrupted when she receives a costly gift from Lily, causing Momoko to grow suspicious and anxious about the potential implications.

Morioka becomes obsessed with obtaining rare items through loot boxes in the game Fruit de Mer and attempts to climb the rankings with her guild, though a feature designed to detect excessive greed repeatedly hinders her progress. Meanwhile, in the real world, a stranger begins speaking to her at a convenience store, adding an unexpected complication to her daily life.

Hayashi seeks Lily's advice, leading Sakurai to suspect a possible connection between Hayashi and Moriko. Meanwhile, Moriko goes through a transformation to prepare for a date with Koiwai, only to be left waiting when he fails to appear. Just as she is about to leave, she unexpectedly encounters someone.

Moriko meets Koiwai but he doesn't show up, and she later encounters Sakurai instead. She realizes she had the wrong day for her date with Koiwai and learns that Sakurai was upset by her earlier refusal. Moriko must now decide how to handle the situation.

Sakurai becomes conflicted about continuing to play online with Hayashi after confirming that Hayashi is Moriko, especially as Hayashi speaks warmly of him. Meanwhile, Koiwai decides to try the game for himself.

Moriko creates an alternate character named Molly to play online with Koiwai. Upon seeing Molly, Sakurai is reminded of a player named Yuki he met in a previous game, where she was an adult and he was still a student.

Moriko is shocked by a revelation from Sakurai but remains hopeful about continuing her online gaming sessions with Lily. However, after learning the truth, Lily has not logged into the game.

Moriko becomes deeply affected by a comment from Yashiro and leaves the convenience store in emotional distress. Sakurai offers her shelter from the rain at his home, and the two attempt to understand their feelings and the nature of their relationship, which has developed largely through their online interactions.
