Reinikainen
Artturi Sakari Reinikainen was a Finnish police officer who gained national and international attention following a tragic incident in 2010. On June 26 of that year, Reinikainen, then 42 years old, was involved in a fatal traffic collision in the city of Lappeenranta. The incident occurred when a car driven by a 17-year-old boy struck a bus, killing Reinikainen and two others. The boy, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time, was later charged with causing death by reckless driving. Reinikainen, who had served in the Finnish police force for several years, was remembered for his dedication to public service and his commitment to his role within the community. His death marked a significant moment in Finnish public discourse, prompting discussions about road safety and youth drinking laws.
