Remington Steele
Laura Holt, a licensed private investigator, establishes her own detective agency but encounters resistance from potential clients who are unwilling to hire a woman, regardless of her qualifications. To overcome this obstacle, Laura creates a fictional male superior named Remington Steele. In the first episode, "License to Steele," a former thief and con man, whose real name is never disclosed, takes on the identity of Remington Steele. While this charade unfolds, Laura continues to operate as the true decision-maker behind the scenes.
