Rookie Blue

Andy McNally's first day as a police officer quickly spirals into chaos when gunfire erupts in a downtown rooming house. She makes what she believes to be a major arrest—only to discover she has detained Sam Swarek, an undercover officer from her own division. To make amends, Andy confronts a dangerous armed suspect who has already killed one person.

While the other rookies pursue an escaped convict, Swarek takes Andy to various undercover locations, initially making her suspect he is acting outside the law. She soon discovers he is trying to locate a missing informant whose life is at risk, and begins to recognize growing feelings between them.

During a tense gun raid, Andy and Gail encounter a woman who has been severely affected by domestic abuse and is wary of the police. Andy pledges to help her, realizing that true effectiveness in policing goes beyond standard procedures. At the same time, the other rookies become involved in the annual "Fite Nite" boxing match, a charity event for retiring officers.

Andy's undercover abilities are challenged when she is assigned to pose as a prostitute to target johns during a citywide street cleanup initiative. Meanwhile, Andy and Dov find themselves in a perilous situation after putting a vulnerable street informant at risk, forcing them to infiltrate a high-stakes gun deal to rescue her from dangerous criminals.

A home invasion at a luxury residence triggers a large police response, including training officers. After the threat is neutralized, Andy and Traci stay with the shaken homeowner, but when Traci leaves to handle a family emergency, Andy is left alone to confront an armed intruder still inside the house.

Andy's relationship with Detective Luke Callaghan becomes complicated when he selects her for a high-stakes assignment involving a bullet lodged in a murder witness's head. After the witness flees and Andy risks her safety to capture him, she and Luke disagree on how to proceed with the investigation. At the same time, the other rookies uncover a disturbing truth about evidence from a fatal traffic accident.

A severe heat wave disrupts city operations and pushes rookie officers to their limits as they struggle to maintain order. Andy becomes concerned that a serial rapist is targeting vulnerable teenage girls, and when a blackout strikes, she is forced to handle the situation without backup.

During a botched High School Outreach assignment, Andy and Chris encounter a man severely beaten behind a nightclub, leading them into a dangerous investigation when they discover a police officer may be responsible. As they confront a difficult moral dilemma, senior officers undergo a retraining exercise under the leadership of the new acting Staff Sergeant, Frank Best.

A routine speed trap on a city highway turns chaotic when a car is found abandoned, its license plate matching one from an active Amber Alert for a nine-year-old abduction. Chris and Gail launch a high-stakes investigation, leading to a tense interrogation of the child's parents, as hidden motives begin to surface.

Andy and Swarek are forced to work together during a prisoner transport that goes wrong when the inmate escapes, prompting a chase through the woods. Meanwhile, Chris and Traci assist Jerry in recovering crucial evidence for a court case, and Dov and Gail investigate the identity of a man with amnesia.

Andy's plans are disrupted when her former police officer father, Tommy, reveals he may have committed a serious crime during a blackout while seeking revenge for a long-standing grudge. With help from Swarek, she attempts to reconstruct the events, gradually uncovering disturbing details about the case that led to his breakdown—information that could result in his imprisonment.

On Judgment Day, the rookies at 15 Division face critical evaluations by Staff Sergeant Frank, testing their readiness as officers. Meanwhile, Andy is deeply affected by the death of an unidentified girl at a house party, leading her to doubt her ability to cope with the demands of police work and consider leaving the force.

Andy and Chris mistakenly arrest a suspect during a major drug bust, jeopardizing the operation. To salvage it, Swarek and Andy go undercover for a drug buy, but when Andy discovers the mission has put Swarek in mortal danger, the 15 Division springs into action to rescue him.
