Rosie is a British situation-comedy television series written by Roy Clarke, which aired between 1977 and 1981. Set and filmed in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, the show centers on PC Penrose, also known as "Rosie," a young and inexperienced police officer portrayed by Paul Greenwood. The first series, consisting of seven episodes, was originally broadcast in 1975 under the title The Growing Pains of PC Penrose. It was later revamped with a new title, setting, and signature tune.
