Rough Riders is a 1997 television miniseries directed and co-written by John Milius, focusing on future President Theodore Roosevelt and the regiment he led. The series highlights the courage of the volunteers during the Battle of San Juan Hill, a key engagement in the Spanish–American War of 1898. It was released on DVD in 2006. The miniseries originally aired on TNT and had a total running time of four hours, including commercials.
