Rupert

Rupert is an animated television series based on the character Rupert Bear, created by Mary Tourtel. The first season was produced by Nelvana, Ellipse Programmé, and TVS, with Scottish Television taking over production after TVS closed. The series aired from 1991 to 1997, comprising 65 half-hour episodes. It was broadcast in syndication on YTV in Canada. In the United States, the show initially aired on Nickelodeon before moving to CBS; repeats later appeared on Qubo's digital service in January 2007 and continue to air there. The series was broadcast in the UK on CITV and has more recently been re-aired on the satellite and cable channels Tiny Pop and KidsCo. In Australia, it aired on the ABC public broadcasting network, and in New Zealand it was shown on TV2 as part of the Jason Gunn Show.
