Writer Ben Mears returns to his hometown to finish a book on the notorious Marsten House, only to discover a vampire is turning residents into an undead legion and must stop the horror before the entire town falls under its thrall.
Ben Mears returns to his hometown to write a book about the supposedly haunted Marsten House. As people near the house begin to die under mysterious circumstances, Mears uncovers the truth: the mansion's owner is a vampire who is transforming the victims into an army of undead slaves.

Ben Mears, a successful novelist, returns to his hometown of Salem's Lot, Maine, to research a book about the mysterious and ominous Marsten House, only to find that two enigmatic newcomers, Richard Straker and Kurt Barlow, have recently moved in. As a series of unexplained disappearances and deaths begin to plague the town, suspicion falls on Mears and the new residents. The community grows increasingly uneasy, wondering who is truly responsible for the rising fear and chaos.

There, he must battle an overwhelming force of darkness to save the town from becoming a permanent refuge for the undead.
