Sarazanmai

In the Asakusa district, middle school students Kazuki, Toi, and Enta accidentally break a statue of the guardian god, prompting Keppi, the self-proclaimed prince of the Kappa Kingdom, to transform them into kappas—creatures from Japanese folklore. To revert to their human forms, the boys must collect the five Dishes of Hope, magical items that grant the wishes of their possessor. Their task involves battling kappa-zombies and extracting their "shirikodama," a mythical organ said to contain humans' deepest desires. Behind this scheme are two police officers, Reo and Mabu, who serve the Otter Empire, an ancient rival of the Kappa Kingdom. Under the guise of "Kappazon, Inc.," they manipulate the desires of the public to control society in favor of the Otter Empire. To complete their mission, the boys must form a bond through the "Sarazanmai," a process that forces them to reveal their most intimate secrets.
