Haoxuan Sun, an ordinary high school student, is taken hostage during what appears to be a robbery and is rescued by a girl wearing a winged battledress featuring bee-themed bionics. His quiet life is upended by the girl, Liuli Vanguard, a human bioengineering weapon. Upon discovering that he is the "Son of Eden," a figure desired by all major powers, Haoxuan Sun and Liuli set out to uncover the truth and challenge the fate imposed upon them. Meanwhile, those around Haoxuan Sun—including his crush, senpai Ye Bai, his best friend, and others—are revealed to have hidden second identities. The new *BEE* anime is based on the original manga's storyline. Additionally, the manga's author, Baimao, has joined the production team. The new *BEE* series will also introduce two entirely new subplots not seen by viewers before.
