Synopsis
Lain receives a chip with the Knight's logo from J.J. at Cyberia, which, combined with information from a Roswell documentary and insights from Taro, leads her to uncover unexpected truths about the pioneers of the WIRED. Believing the chip may be linked to another version of herself, she uses a planned meeting with Taro to press him for information. Together, they piece together more than they anticipated about the origins of the digital world.
