Ye Lingshuang is an ordinary girl who grows up alongside Qi Hairui, also known as Zhuyan, the beloved youngest princess of the grasslands. The two girls form a close friendship, and Ye Lingshuang pledges her loyalty to the princess. However, the Kingdom of Zhao, led by the ambitious ruler Yu Xiuming, plots to seize control of the grasslands, ultimately leading to Qi Hairui's suicide. Determined to avenge her friend, Ye Lingshuang infiltrates Yu Xiuming's palace under a new identity. As the emperor becomes intrigued by her, Ye Lingshuang finds herself caught between her loyalty to her homeland and the growing feelings she develops for him.
