Slayers
The story follows the young sorceress Lina Inverse, whose life centers on food, treasure, and combat. After stealing treasure from a group of bandits, Lina is approached by stragglers during her journey to the next town. Though she is not in any real danger, a dim-witted but good-natured swordsman named Gourry Gabriev comes to her rescue anyway. The two form a partnership and travel to Atlas City, battling enemies they encounter along the way. Unbeknownst to them, two mysterious figures are pursuing them, particularly interested in the “treasure” that Lina and Gourry have taken.
