Sound! Euphonium
Kumiko Oumae, a euphonist who swore off music after an incident at a middle school regional brass band competition, enters high school hoping for a fresh start. Fate, however, brings her into the orbit of the school's brass band. With encouragement from her bandmates—including novice tubist Hazuki Katou, veteran contrabassist Sapphire Kawashima, band vice president and euphonist Asuka Tanaka, childhood friend and hornist-turned-trombonist Shuuichi Tsukamoto, and former middle school bandmate and trumpeter Reina Kousaka—Kumiko finds the motivation to return to music. However, the band is in disarray, and despite their goal of qualifying for the national band competition, even securing a place at the local festival is uncertain—unless new band advisor Noboru Taki can turn things around.
