Twilight is an agent working for WISE, Westalis's intelligence agency, and is assigned to investigate Desmond, who is located in Ostania and planning to initiate a war. To accomplish his mission, Twilight assumes the identity of psychiatrist Loid Forger and takes in a girl named Anya, enrolling her at the prestigious Eden College to gain proximity to his target. What he does not know is that Anya is a telepath capable of reading minds. One day, Anya is kidnapped by members of a mafia group that is after Twilight. Loid comes to realize that he must reassess his priorities.

Civil servant Yor Briar leads a double life as an assassin known as the Thorn Princess. Recent suspicions that single women might be spies have caused Yor to feel uneasy. At the same time, Loid is looking for someone to portray Anya's mother so they can participate in an interview at Eden College. Their paths cross when Loid encounters Yor at a boutique. Anya, able to read minds, discovers Yor's secret identity as an assassin and attempts to persuade Loid to ask Yor to take on the role of her mother.

Yor moves in with Loid and Anya. Now that they are a family, they need to prepare for the interview. However, Loid realizes that with how Anya and Yor currently are, the interview probably won't go well. To ensure they all understand how an upper-class family should behave, Loid decides they should all go out as a family. They visit the theatre and a museum, but it's just not clicking with Anya and Yor. Twilight begins to lose hope, but...

The day the Forgers have been preparing for has finally arrived, and they head to the interview. Upon entering the school grounds, Loid senses someone watching them. Unbeknownst to the applicants, they are being observed from the shadows by the academy's instructors. The exam has already begun. Housemaster Henderson, who will be evaluating their performance, closely watches the Forgers to determine if they are truly worthy of the prestigious Eden College.

The day Eden College announced its accepted applicants had finally arrived, but Anya's number was not listed. The Forgers were devastated but were soon approached by Henderson, who commended them for their interview and informed them that Anya was at the top of the waiting list. Three days later, they learned that Anya had been accepted into the school. Franky joined the Forgers to celebrate, and they all decided to reward Anya for her hard work. What Anya asked for...

After Anya's uniform is completed, Loid leaves for a WISE strategy meeting, sending Yor to collect it while he proceeds to the safehouse. During the meeting, he learns that Anya must receive eight Stellar Stars and be admitted as an Imperial Scholar at Eden College for Operation Strix to succeed. Meanwhile, Anya is thrilled with her new uniform. However, criminals often target wealthy Eden College students, and Anya soon becomes the focus of a group of hoodlums.

Anya acquires a Tonitrus Bolt after hitting Damian Desmond, which unfortunately draws unwanted attention in class and leaves her feeling depressed. However, her mood improves somewhat when she becomes friends with Becky, making school a bit more enjoyable. Anya attempts to apologize to Damian for hitting him but struggles to find the right words. In an effort to support Anya as part of Operation Strix, Loid disguises himself as a school staff member and tries to help her reconcile with Damian from the shadows, though the situation remains complicated.

Ostania's counterintelligence agency and national security bureau is responsible for conducting spy hunts and monitoring citizens to ensure internal stability. The agency is also known as the Secret Police and is widely feared. Yuri, Yor's younger brother, is a member of the Secret Police and actively pursues spies while concealing his role from Yor and those around him. One day, Yuri unexpectedly appears at the Forger residence. The Forgers, a family riddled with secrets, and Yuri, who hides his true identity, confront each other.

To convince Yuri that they are a genuine married couple, Loid and Yor must share a kiss. Loid is ready to comply immediately for the sake of Operation Strix, but Yor is unwilling to kiss him while sober and consumes a large amount of wine, becoming drunk. Yuri witnesses his sister in this state, becomes intoxicated himself, and is no longer capable of making rational decisions.

A rumor circulates among the first graders at Eden College that performing well in their next physical education class will reward them with Stella Stars. Determined to earn one, Anya trains with Yor, setting the stage for a dodgeball competition between Cecile Hall and Wald Hall. Anya and her classmates are eager to win, but they face a formidable opponent in the form of the giant Bill Watkins.

At Eden College, parents are only permitted to attend social events if their children are Imperial Scholars, but Anya's dislike of studying makes this goal difficult to achieve. To help her, Loid devises a plan for Anya to earn Stella Stars through community service instead of academic performance. However, when Anya volunteers at a hospital, she repeatedly makes mistakes. Later, she uses her telepathic abilities to hear a child drowning in a pool.

Loid is assigned numerous missions by WISE and returns home each day feeling drained. One day, he overhears neighbors speculating that he is neglecting his family. To prevent any doubts about their family dynamic from arising, which could jeopardize Operation Strix, he plans a family outing to the aquarium on their next day off. However, while at the aquarium, he receives yet another mission from WISE, complicating his efforts to maintain the appearance of a normal family life.

The Forgers go look for a dog for Anya's reward for getting a Stella. In the middle of their outing, Loid ends up having to work a mission to stop a terrorist bombing attack planned against Westalis's foreign minister. Meanwhile, Anya is trying to pick out a dog, but then sees a vision of her family when she randomly reads the mind of a giant, mysterious, white dog. Anya becomes curious and chases after the dog, but she ends up accidentally wandering into the hideout of the terrorists.

Anya encounters a mysterious dog with the ability to see into the future. With the dog's help, she and the others manage to escape from the terrorists, but they are soon recaptured. Just then, Yor arrives and launches an attack on the enemy. Shortly afterward, the dog has another vision. Through the dog's mind, Anya sees a future in which Loid is unconscious and buried under the rubble of a building that has been bombed. To prevent this future from occurring, Anya and the dog set out for the location where the incident is destined to take place.

Loid confronts one of the enemy's bomb dogs, Anya secretly rescues him, and Yor locates the leader of the terrorists who had been evading capture. The entire family becomes entangled in the terrorist bombing incident, raising the question of how it will ultimately conclude. Meanwhile, they had planned to get Anya a dog as a reward for earning a Stella, but now she expresses a desire to keep the mysterious, giant dog she encounters during the incident. Loid is aware of the truth about this dog and the other bomb dogs involved and refuses her request, but Anya threatens to stop attending school if she cannot have the dog.

Yor has been returning home late each night with her hands covered in cuts, raising questions about her activities. Meanwhile, Franky has urgently requested a meeting with Loid under mysterious circumstances. These are two stories of misadventures as characters pursue happiness in Berlint.

Anya and her classmates participate in an arts and crafts lesson, during which Anya is placed in a group with Damian. Meanwhile, Sylvia goes through a typical workday. The episode also reveals the secret behind Yuri's strength.

Next week is Eden College's midterms. That week happens to include the new moon, the one day of the month Anya can't use her powers to cheat. But then, Yor suggests that Yuri should be her tutor.

Damian performs well on his midterms and earns a Stella. Those around him commend his achievement, but his classmate George appears to be watching him with resentment. The reason for this is...

Anya needs to write a report on an occupation that interests her, so she visits Loid's workplace, Berlint General Hospital. As soon as Loid is out of sight, Anya begins exploring.

Fiona, who works at Loid's hospital, is in fact the female WISE agent known as Nightfall. Frustrated by the delays in Operation Strix, she proposes taking on the role of Mrs. Forger. She then unexpectedly appears at the Forger household, where she meets Yor.

The Zacharis Dossier, a set of secret files, is believed to have the potential to spark a war between the East and the West. To acquire a painting rumored to conceal these files, Loid and Fiona participate in an underground tennis tournament organized by the painting's owner, Campbell. The prize for winning the tournament is the artwork they seek. Loid and Fiona compete under the guise of a married couple, facing off against a range of highly skilled players, including professional tennis players.

The underground tennis tournament reaches its final match, where Loid and Fiona face off against the Campbell siblings. The siblings resort to underhanded tactics, using modified rackets and receiving assistance from biased staff. Nevertheless, the spy duo from WISE manages to overcome each challenge, with Loid delivering the decisive blow to win the match. However, shortly after the game concludes, the State Security Service becomes aware of the dossier and moves to infiltrate the tournament.

Yor grows anxious about their fake marriage when Fiona appears. Loid notices this and believes Yor may be developing romantic feelings for him. To maintain focus on the mission, he activates his Twilight mode.

A social gathering takes place at Eden College once every half term. The event is tightly controlled, limited exclusively to Imperial Scholars and their parents, who are considered VIPs in Ostania. Damian expresses to his brother that he wishes to see their father during the event. Loid learns of this and uses Damian as a means to approach his intended target.

Yor is shot in the butt during a mission and appears very miserable when she returns home. Loid misinterprets her obvious discomfort as dissatisfaction with their marriage of convenience and suggests taking her out on a date.

Bond foresees a troubling future and suspects that it is Yor's food that will bring it about. To alter this outcome, Bond departs from the house in search of Loid. Meanwhile, Henderson instructs Damian, Emil, and Ewen to accompany Mr. Green on a field research trip.

Yuri is performing well in his role with the Secret Police. His current task involves investigating a former newspaper reporter accused of selling articles that defame Ostania to Westalis. Anya admires her cartoon hero Bondman, who demonstrates his sophisticated spy techniques.

Anya and her friends embark on a race to reach Eden's legendary dessert, a set of macaroons said to have the power to turn anyone who eats them into an Imperial Scholar.

Yor, operating under the alias Thorn Princess and using her position at city hall as a cover, is assigned the mission of protecting the last surviving members of the Gretcher family—Olka and her son—and assisting them in escaping to another country via a cruise ship.

After boarding the cruise ship, Yor began her assignment as a bodyguard for Olka and her son. At the same time, Yor's superior, Matthew, discovered an assassin who was targeting Olka and her son.

Loid attempts to choose souvenirs that will give him the appearance of a fun and cheerful father, hoping to lift Anya's spirits. At the same time, Yor confronts Sickle-and-Chain Barnaby in battle.

The deck is filled with passengers enjoying the fireworks show. Anya and Loid are also watching the display. Meanwhile, Yor's mission reaches its climax as she attempts to help Olka and the others escape, only to find them surrounded by assassins.

Noticing the movements of State Security Service members, Loid discovers there is a bomb on the ship. He quickly leaves Anya at the daycare and disguises himself as a State Security Service member to address the bomb.

The morning after the assassination attempt and the bomb incident, the cruise ship arrives at the resort island. Loid and Anya reunite with Yor, and the three spend time together on a family vacation.

Becky is very excited about a romantic drama on TV and decides to visit the Forgers' home to meet Loid, whom she instantly fell in love with after seeing his picture. She then aggressively pursues him.

As Bond walks with Loid, he experiences a premonition of an impending accident and attempts to prevent it, but is reprimanded by Loid. He then has a vision of a building engulfed in flames, with a girl standing sobbing in front of it.

The Forgers take a day off as Nightfall recruits Franky to assist her with a mission.

Anya's class must avoid getting Tonitrus Bolts, and the story provides a glimpse into someone's past.

Loid reflects on past events that shaped his journey to the present.

WISE agents are assigned to protect an opera singer, while Henderson provides Anya with guidance on how to become an Imperial Scholar.
