Goku and Vegeta's training is interrupted when Future Mai arrives, revealing that Future Trunks has been captured by a mysterious figure named Fu, who explains he is held on the "Prison Planet," where warriors from various timelines battle in an experiment. Upon arriving, Goku, Vegeta, and Mai encounter an alternate version of Goku known as Xeno Goku, who fights Goku in a clash of Super Saiyan forms. As they battle, they discover an invisible barrier prevents escape, but Fu vanishes and the two Gokus team up to find a way out.

Goku and his allies struggle to confront a powerful, malevolent Saiyan whose immense and ominous ki proves nearly unstoppable. As Goku is overwhelmed and begins to lose control, an unexpected hero arrives to turn the tide of battle.

Goku and Vegeta fuse using the Potara earrings to become Vegito Blue in order to battle the transformed Cumber, who reveals a powerful new form. They push their limits by combining strength and technique, including the use of the Kaio-Ken.

Cumber transforms into a powerful, fearsome state, overwhelming the Prison Planet's restraints as his chains begin to break. Witnessing this, Fu becomes enraged and activates his own concealed abilities.

Goku and his allies find themselves in a dire situation as Cumber's seemingly limitless power overwhelms them. Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta arrive to assist, having detected unusual activity on the Prison Planet. In an effort to match Cumber's strength, they use the Potara earrings to fuse, creating a powerful new warrior.

Following an intense and prolonged conflict, the Ultra Instinct technique is activated. As the Prison Planet begins to collapse, a decisive battle unfolds with the fate of all hanging in the balance.

The remaining members of the group from the Prison Planet arrive safely on Beerus's planet and reunite with Whis. Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta depart for their own universe, offering their well-wishes before the Supreme Kai of Universe 6 unexpectedly appears.

Oren and Kamin transform into energy and take over Kale and Caulifla's bodies to attack their friends. Vegeta, Trunks, and Hit devise a strategy to counter them, with Trunks and Hit subduing the siblings while Vegeta uses a Final Flash to force them out. Just as the battle resumes, Hearts arrives with a mysterious crystal and halts the fight using his psychic abilities.

Vegeta and Trunks arrive in Universe 11 to find Hearts and his gang already engaged in battle. Oren ambushes the Saiyans, taking control of Vegeta's body and overpowering Trunks. Meanwhile, Jiren faces off against Cumber and later Oren, with Hearts redirecting Cumber to attack Universe 3. As Trunks is defeated again by Oren, Goku arrives and reveals he has gained some mastery over Ultra Instinct.

Goku frees Vegeta's body from Oren's control and battles Hearts, while Oren and Kamin combine into "Kamioren" to challenge him. During the fight, Hearts launches a crystal from the Universe Seed at Goku, which shatters to reveal a new antagonist named Rags. After Goku is incapacitated, Vegeta transforms into Super Saiyan Blue to take on Kamioren.

Vegeta gains the upper hand against Kamioren before defeating them with a Final Flash, forcing Kamin and Oren to separate. Meanwhile, Trunks intervenes to protect Goku from Rags, but is attacked by her crystals, prompting Goku to take the hit. Hearts then intervenes, sending Rags to Universe 3 and engaging Goku, attempting to push him to his full power. Despite a combined attack from Goku, Trunks, and Vegeta, Hearts immobilizes them with his psychic abilities before being interrupted by Universe 7's Kaioshin, who rescues the Saiyans.

Hearts, Zamasu, Oren, and Kamin arrive in Universe 7 with the intent to destroy it, but are met by Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks, Android 17, and Piccolo. As Oren and Kamin are intercepted by 17 and Piccolo, Vegeta and Trunks face Zamasu, while Goku struggles to fight Hearts due to his gravity-based abilities. Meanwhile, in Universe 3, Meta Cooler battles Cumber, gaining the upper hand after transforming into his Golden form, but sustains damage from overheating after launching multiple powerful attacks.

Goku and Hearts engage in an intense battle, with Hearts initially gaining the upper hand until Goku transforms into Super Saiyan Blue, evening the odds. Meanwhile, Trunks and Vegeta fight Zamasu, and 17 and Piccolo manage to injure Kamioren with a coordinated attack. As Kamioren regenerates and grows more powerful out of rage, Hearts also continues to power up, increasing the gravity against Goku, who resists the attacks and remains in the fight.

Hearts uses his crystals to boost his power and quickly defeats Goku. As Piccolo and 17 injure Kamioren, Hearts helps by implanting the now-ready, shrunken Universe Seed into them, triggering a powerful transformation. In this new form, Kamioren overpowers Piccolo, 17, Vegeta, and Trunks, but Goku intervenes and regains his Ultra Instinct to defend Vegeta.

Goku battles Kamioren, initially facing a strong opponent, but gains the upper hand after achieving the mastered form of Ultra Instinct. With assistance from his allies, he defeats Kamioren using a Kamehameha and energy attacks, finishing with a powerful punch that destroys their core. As Hearts mourns the loss of Kamioren's original form and collects the charged Universe Seed, Zamasu watches with approval and hidden intentions.

Vegeta and the others attempt to assault Hearts as he absorbs the Universe Seed, but Zamasu intervenes, revealing his true intention to manipulate Hearts for his own plans. After overpowering the group and Goku, Jiren and Hit arrive to assist in stopping Hearts. Just as they prepare to attack Zamasu again, Hearts emerges with the Universe Seed's power, defeats Zamasu, and declares his intent to destroy all gods, earning him the title "Godslayer.

The Z-Fighters are overwhelmed when Hearts attacks them all at once, easily defeating even Goku in his Super Saiyan Blue form with a powerful gravity technique. As the others regroup, Goku and Vegeta decide to fuse using the Fusion Dance to create Gogeta, while Trunks, Piccolo, and 17 hold off Hearts to give them time. With the rest of the fighters temporarily stepping back, Gogeta prepares to face Hearts in battle.

Gogeta transforms into Super Saiyan Blue and engages Hearts in battle, gaining the advantage as Hearts reaches his full power. To turn the tide, Hearts summons a massive meteor, charging it with his energy before sending it hurtling toward Gogeta, who prepares to counter the attack.

Gogeta attempts to stop a massive meteor with an energy blast, but Hearts counters with greater strength, pushing the meteor forward. Gogeta, with the help of Hit and Jiren, combines their attacks into a powerful Kamehameha that destroys the meteor, while Trunks, Piccolo, and 17 protect Earth from the debris. In the final battle, Gogeta defeats Hearts, shattering the Universe Seed in his chest and learning of Hearts' goal to free mortals from the Omni-Kings' control.

The Supreme Kai of Time sends Xeno Trunks and Xeno Pan on a mission to locate her missing mystical bird, Toki-Toki, which has appeared in the main timeline during a training session involving Goku, Vegeta, and others. When the two time travelers confirm Toki-Toki's safety, they are joined by the rest of the Z Fighters and informed by the Gods of Destruction that the bird's presence may be tied to a larger threat.

Goku, Vegeta, and Xeno Trunks battle Beerus while other fighters and Gods of Destruction observe, but Beerus gains the advantage before the fight is interrupted by Xeno Goku and Vegeta. A massive tree with giant roots appears in the sky, draining Earth's energy, prompting the gods to return to their universes. Fu and Doki-Doki arrive, identifying the tree as part of the Universe Tree, grown from a seed developed by Hearts, and Beerus shields Earth by allowing the tree to drain his own energy.

Fu, with an unknown female companion, gathers several defeated villains on the Universe Tree, offering them a chance at redemption in his new universe in exchange for their help. Meanwhile, Goku, Vegeta, Xeno Trunks, and Xeno Pan search for Fu and are ambushed by Turles and Bojack, who have been significantly empowered. During the ensuing battle, Xeno Trunks sees Fu watching from a distance, while Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta arrive in Hell and encounter Dr. W.

Dr. W initiates an analysis of Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta by launching unpredictable energy attacks, forcing them to transform into Super Saiyan 3 and later Super Saiyan 4. Despite their combined efforts, Dr. W withstands their assault and emerges with a golden aura similar to theirs before escaping through a portal. Meanwhile, Fu intervenes in a battle between Goku, Vegeta, Turles, and Bojack by deploying Doki-Doki, whose dark energy immobilizes several fighters, allowing him to capture Toki-Toki and retreat.

In Hell, Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta, even in their Super Saiyan 4 forms, find themselves outmatched by the reborn Janemba, who exploits his knowledge of their abilities and strategies. As Janemba prepares to finish them, Xeno Trunks, Xeno Pan, and the original Goku and Vegeta arrive via wormhole to join the battle. The newcomers power up to various forms, with Goku and Xeno Goku combining forces to gain the upper hand, only for Putine and Majin Salsa to suddenly appear and disrupt the fight, angering Dr. W.

Xeno Trunks recognizes Majin Salsa and Putine as demons and former foes of the Time Patrol, but they propose an alliance to help destroy the Universe Tree, which is devouring planets across the multiverse. Before an agreement can be reached, Janemba attacks, reigniting the battle. As Xeno Trunks transforms into Super Saiyan God, the demons hold off Janemba while the other Saiyans channel their energy into Xeno Goku and Xeno Vegeta, enabling them to reach Full-Power Super Saiyan 4. The two then defeat Janemba using the Double Dragon Fist.

Goku, Vegeta, and several alternate versions of Saiyans and others arrive at the Universe Tree, which continues to absorb energy from the multiverse. Vegeta attempts to destroy it with a ki blast, but the Tree absorbs the attack instead. Fu appears and announces his plan to create a new universe using the Tree, before teleporting away Xeno Goku, Xeno Vegeta, Xeno Trunks, Xeno Pan, Majin Salsa, and Putine with the help of his mysterious companion, Towa. Vegeta fights Fu, but Fu wields Cumber's energy to corrupt Vegeta's ki, causing him to go berserk, and later affects Goku in the same way.

Towa captures several Xeno warriors in her artificial space using Cumber's dark energy and reveals that Fu is her creation, built from data of past Dragon Ball fighters and villains, intended to become the new Demon King through energy obtained from Mechikabura. As Xeno Goku breaks free and attacks, he is stopped by Mira, and Towa escapes along with Mira after teleporting in Xeno Gohan and Xeno Goten, who are weakened. Meanwhile, Vegito battles Fu in Super Saiyan Blue near the Universe Tree and appears to gain the advantage.

Fu is devastated by the death of the Universe Tree until Towa and Mira arrive to assist him. Towa enhances Fu's power by infusing him with Mechikabura's energy, transforming him into the new Demon King, though Fu shows no desire for the title and instead uses his power to revive the Tree. As Vegito attempts to stop him, Xeno Vegito and Demigra appear through a portal, with Xeno Vegito now in his Full-Power Super Saiyan 4 form, reigniting the battle. Meanwhile, an alternate version of Broly awakens in an unknown location.

Xeno Vegito battles Fu, who uses dark magic to alter the battlefield and summon a grand arena. The fight is interrupted by the arrival of alternate Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan form, who later transforms into Full-Power SS 4. As the main-timeline Vegito joins the battle, Fu revives the Universe Tree, which releases a powerful wave of energy that engulfs several characters. Xeno Vegito escapes the blast, while others are caught in its effects.

Xeno Vegito evades an energy wave just in time to prevent damage to the Tree, only to discover Fu holding a miniaturized version of a new universe that Fu created using his own demonic power instead of pure energy, resulting in a flawed reality. Enraged, Xeno Vegito confronts Fu, reigniting their battle, while Towa faces off against Demigra and his companion, as Demigra employs a time-freezing technique called "Time Labyrinth." Meanwhile, on Beerus's planet, Whis and Vados detect the new universe, and within it, Goku awakens in a distorted version of West City.

A mysterious figure observes the new universe's version of West City as Goku is attacked by Frieza and Meta Cooler. During the battle, Goku is contacted by Xeno Trunks, who is at the Time Nest with Xeno Pan, Xeno Gohan, Xeno Goten, and the Supreme Kai of Time. Xeno Trunks reveals that Fu has created a copy of the Seventh Universe, where damage to buildings in the alternate West City affects the real one.

Goku and Hearts face off against the newly empowered Frieza and Cooler, but their battle is cut short by the arrival of an alternate version of Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan form. Broly quickly overwhelms the group, including a masked Saiyan observing the fight. A mysterious cloaked figure then appears and attacks Frieza and Cooler, taking the Dark Dragon Balls from them.

Vegeta, Turles, and Cumber clash in a brutal battle on an uncharted planet. After Cumber incapacitates Vegeta and turns his attention to Turles, Goku and Hearts arrive to assist their injured ally. The group is then confronted by a mysterious masked Saiyan whose identity is soon revealed.

Vegeta steps in to defend Goku from Black, but his temporary power boost fades before he can overcome his opponent. Black then informs Vegeta that he is an alternate version of himself from a timeline prior to his destruction by Future Zeno.

The new arrivals include Gohan, Krillin, Android 17, and Android 18, who find themselves transported to a new universe. They are joined by Majin Salsa and Putine, along with Shurum, a former Demon God and ally of Demigra who assisted in retrieving Cell and Hearts from Hell.

Goku and Vegeta initially gain the upper hand against Black, but after Goku exits Ultra Instinct, Black reaches full power by absorbing energy through his mask. He quickly overpowers Vegeta, and when Frieza and Meta-Cooler appear in Golden forms, Black uses a mystical scroll to summon a Majin-enhanced Omega Shenron, defeating them effortlessly.

Ozotto, having absorbed Buu and gained regeneration, fights the group with overwhelming power, shapeshifting into their allies and merging with duplicates to increase his strength, forcing Chronoa to teleport Goku, Vegeta, and Xeno Trunks away.

Chronoa reveals that Majin Ozotto is a dangerous criminal being pursued by the Time Patrol. Ozotto attacks the Elder Kai, having already absorbed the Supreme Kai and Kibito, but is interrupted by Xeno Goku and Vegeta, who engage him in battle. After absorbing their opponents and creating duplicates resembling Frieza and Cell, the Ozottos invite both groups to the Ozotto Mansion, leaving behind invitation cards as they teleport away.

Accompanied by Xeno Goku and Vegeta, the group arrives at the Ozotto Mansion, leaving Chronoa behind for her safety. When their attack fails to damage the mansion, Ozotto challenges them to separate and enter five different entrances, promising to free his victims if they defeat the real him. Goku and Vegeta each face Ozotto duplicates that transform into powerful foes, while Gohan awakens in a pod with Goten, Trunks, and others, discovering they are trapped inside Ozotto's body.

Ozotto provokes Gohan by attacking Goten and Trunks, and Gohan breaks free from his containment pod to defend Videl. After defeating other versions of Ozotto, Goku, Vegeta, and Trunks realize they cannot reach Chronoa, and Ozotto reabsorbs Gohan, greatly increasing his power. Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegito, who defeats Ozotto, but Gohan reappears injured and warns that they are inside Ozotto's body, which then transforms into a massive version of itself. Meanwhile, the fused Saiyans and Xeno Trunks face multiple duplicates of past villains.

Ozotto captures Chronoa and begins absorbing her power, using tentacles and duplicates to fight Goku, Vegeta, Xeno Trunks, and Gohan. With help from Hearts and Lagss, they identify a weakness in Ozotto's body and manage to breach his defenses, allowing Vegeta to escape and Goku to confront Ozotto in a powerful form. As the battle intensifies, Aeos becomes aware of the situation.

Goku employs Ultra Instinct to evade and defeat Ozotto's "Giant Fat Form," while Ozotto summons an army of duplicates in an attempt to overpower him. During the battle, one duplicate transforms into Chronoa and wields time manipulation, but Xeno Goku rescues the real Chronoa, causing the duplicate to vanish. After Goku defeats the remaining duplicates and destroys Ozotto with the Dragon Fist, Aeos appears, traps Ozotto's regenerating remains in a jar, and uses the Super Dragon Balls to restore the destroyed planets and return everyone home.
