Tale of the Nine Tailed

Ji-ah, who lost her parents in a strange car accident on Yeougogae Hill when she was nine, works as a producer for an investigative program called "Finding Local Myths." She receives a report about a mysterious "monster," which sets her on a new investigation.

Ji-ah comes face to face with the mysterious creature she has been searching for and believes Lee Yeon holds the key to uncovering her missing parents. But Lee Yeon resists her pursuit, leading both of them into an unexpected and startling situation.

Ji-ah uncovers clues related to a mysterious incident on Eohwa Island, delving into her parents' past, but her investigation takes a dangerous turn with the arrival of Lee Rang.

Lee Yeon returns from a trip to an island and encounters Ji-ah, realizing she is not the person he was searching for, though both find themselves drawn to each other. Their brief time together is interrupted when Lee Yeon faces a significant challenge.

Lee Yeon confirms that A-eum has been reincarnated as Ji-ah but chooses not to reveal the truth, hoping she can live a normal life. Determined to uncover Ji-ah's past, he seeks out 'Satto,' the one who knows the identity of her parents.

Ji-ah and Yeon encounter "Satto," but he remains uncooperative. At the same time, Rang searches for an item at the Korean Folk Village and enters into a dangerous arrangement involving Yeon.

The Imoogi approaches Ji-ah and Yeon, prompting Yeon to rush to Ji-ah's home to safeguard her. During the encounter, Yeon's traumatic past is uncovered, shedding light on the events that shaped him.

Ji-ah is stunned to discover that Yeon is the one who killed her in a previous timeline, leading her to emotionally distance herself. Determined to uncover the truth, she eventually ends up falling into a trap set by the Imoogi alongside Yeon.

Yeon and Rang become trapped in a dangerous forest filled with malevolent spirits, battling them without end. After Yeon is reunited with her long-lost parents, she chooses to remain with them rather than return to her previous life.

Ji-ah and Yeon confront the realities of their past and commit to focusing on their current relationship, vowing to remain together despite any challenges. Meanwhile, Yeon takes action to rescue Rang from a life-threatening situation.

The Butler uses Ji-ah's parents as leverage to coerce her into surrendering Yeon's body. The Imoogi then claims Ji-ah as his own, while Rang faces a life-threatening ultimatum.

Ji-ah reunites with her parents after a 21-year separation, while Rang, now free from his contract, sets out to find Imoogi and Yeon in order to protect those he cares about.

Ji-ah begins to experience another Imoogi emerging within her, leading her and Yeon to share a somber night as they face an uncertain future. As the Imoogi pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the human world, Yeon and the reborn Rang work together to devise a plan to end the cycle of conflict.

Taluipa sentences Ji-ah to death and rejects Yeon's request to help track down Imoogi, who has discovered how the entity transfers between bodies. Faced with an unpredictable fate, Yeon makes a decisive final choice.

Ji-ah and Yeon spend their last day together, keeping their emotions hidden as they try to make the most of their time. A glimmer of hope emerges, but it is quickly destroyed by a sinister plan orchestrated by Imoogi.

Ji-ah, left alone after Yeon's departure, pleads with the Afterlife Immigration Office to bring him back, but she is met with no solution. As April snow falls, a special individual arrives, hinting at a possible change in her situation.
