Terry and June
Terry and June Medford are middle-aged and beginning to find the challenges of daily life increasingly difficult. The couple has recently moved to Purley, in south-east London. Aunt Lucy and the mynah bird have disappeared, as have the daughters who occasionally visited. Terry and June now interact with their friendly next-door neighbor, Beattie; Terry's talkative work colleague, Malcolm; and their gruff boss, Sir Dennis Hodge. Otherwise, life remains largely unchanged, with Terry's stubborn and childish behavior continuing to cause problems, often undermining June's efforts to maintain a peaceful and comfortable home life.
